Academic Advising
University College Academic Advising introduces students to academic and co-curricular opportunities, advises and collaborates with students as they navigate the curriculum and develop their educational plans.
Career Readiness
The Career Development Center serves all students and alumni pursuing various future professional endeavors. Services include resume reviews, career coaching, job and internship search assistance, and other tools to achieve life and professional success.
Academic Support
The Student Learning Center (SLC) offers academic resources that will complement and enhance classroom experiences by helping students become acquainted with their studies and learn how to learn effectively. Services include tutoring, academic coaching, probation support and more, available both in-person and via Zoom.
College Success Seminar
Supporting students in their academic and social transition to App State, this course provides opportunities to identify, discuss, and practice a variety of strategies to foster success in college, including information on campus resources and opportunities.
Community-Designated Student Programs
Providing opportunities for academic development and a variety of comprehensive support services for students enrolled in these programs.
University Writing Center
The University Writing Center is a free resource available to students and faculty as well as members of the Boone community. Consultants provide one-on-one assistance with writing at all stages and in any subject matter.
